Abstract

The purpose of this study was to find out the improvement and development direction of the herbicide registration test in the future by identifying the current status of the herbicide ex officio registration test for small-area crops for the past 3 years (2019-2021). 39 crops were subject to the herbicide ex officio registration test, accounting for 32% of the 121 crops registered in the '2022 Guide book of pesticides'. 22 types of herbicides used in the registration test were non-selective foliar treatments. That is, glufosinate-ammonium 18% SL and glufosiante-P 9.8% SL were used in registration tests on 30 crops. There were 10 testing institutes that conducted the herbicide registration test for 3 years. Various problems (spring drought and lack of irrigation facilities, inexperienced in growing crops, wrong herbicides selection) and solutions that may occur during the herbicide ex officio registration test are also presented.
